The left and the right hemisphere (pictures taken from here)
“I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate equations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.”
“I am the right brain.
I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion.
Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter.
I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feet.
I am movement. Vivid colors.
I am the urge to paint on an emty canvas.
I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel.
I am everything I wanted to be.”
I found these pictures recently, and I just thought how beautiful they were. Whoever created this, it was worth it. It’s full of life and creativity, describing the completely mysterious brain in such words is just beautiful. I was very interested then, and I ended up researching about this topic of the right and the left hemisphere.
It was catching, I learned that we have two hemispheres, the right and the left brain, and a brain dominance, that is when one hemisphere is more used then the other. The left brain is analytical and controls our speaking and language. The right brain is creativity and spatial orientation, Left handed people like me have often a right brain dominance.
I know that I’m a right brain type, because I just identify me like the colourful text and not as structures and analytical as the left brain is.
